Owner of Milky Way Lactation
Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (working toward board certification)
Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator
What led you to the birth world?
When my daughter was born six years ago I had a doula at my birth. Watching her do what she did made the light bulb go off in my head. "I finally know what I want to be when I grow up!" And a passion was born. That daughter attended my doula training with me and the rest is history.

Tell us about your family?
I love my family. We reside in the south metro. I have been married to my amazing husband for almost 10 years. He runs his own lawn and snow removal business (Restoration Lawn & Snow). We have four amazing kiddos I who is 10, Z who is 7, A who is 3, and J who is almost 1. They are such a sweet blessing to my life. I'm thankful that much of the time I am able to be home with them.
Our family loves Jesus, the outdoors, parks, tickle wars, movie nights and snuggling up with a good book for read aloud.
What would you say your best quality as a doula is?
My intuition. I am a very intuitive person and that helps SO much in the birth room. Being able to focus in on peoples emotions and gaining insight into their spoken and unspoken needs makes me a better doula.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I LOVE helping families navigate parenthood. It is such a joy to walk with families and watch them grow in confidence. I love to make breastfeeding more comfortable and help mom's feel more confident in it all. Feeding/Postpartum support is so much fun to me!
What are your favorite foods?
This list could go on and on... Pizza, Greek, Indian, a good sandwich, samosas, waffles... I LOVE good food and cooking it.
What is your favorite things to drink?
coffee (specifically vanilla breve), coconut sparkling water, and water
When not working what do you like to do?
read, cook, bake, sew, paint furniture, spend time with my church family, eat ice cream, explore nature, and spend time with my friends and family
On your days off where would we find you?
When I'm not working I am homeschooling my kids, doing the mom thing (kissing boo boo's, doing laundry, making meals, breaking up fights, snuggling and books...the list goes on and on), helping my husband with his business, serving at our church or just catching up on shows on Hulu. I'm an introvert- so some quiet time is a must.
